Snake Medicine
The extremity of human reaction to the first snake bite can nearly kill one…and the reaction to the next is less…and the next is less, because of antibodies creating immune defense.
According to Native American medicine, the spiritual journey mirrors this, but the requirement is conscious inner work. Through this journey, ideally one reaches a plateau where there is no reaction at all to the bites, and ultimately one opens one’s arms to the Universe with the invocation “Bring it on! Please! Give me your best! I can carry it!”
